Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli tunnistaa tietoperustaisia palveluinnovoinnin dynaamisia kyvykkyyksiä ja kehittää palveluinnovointivalmiuksien arviointimalli pk-yrityksiä varten. Arviointimallin avulla pk-yritys saa käsityksen omasta nykytilastaan ja valmiuksistaan suorittaa asiakaslähtöistä palveluinnovointia, jonka päätökset perustuvat tietoon. Nykytila-analyysin perusteella yritysten on mahdollista kehittää toimintaansa entistä kilpailukykyisemmäksi jatkuvasti muuttavassa toimintaympäristössä.
The aim of the thesis was to recognise dynamic capabilities in data-driven service innovation and develop a service innovation readiness assessment model for SMEs to comprehend their current state and readiness to perform customer-oriented service innovation grounded in data-driven decision-making. Based on the analysis of the current situation, SMEs are able to progress themselves to be more competitive in a constantly changing environment.
The research and development activities were made in cooperation with the HAMK Smart Research Unit for the NUOTTA project. Based on the insights obtained from the literature on the dynamic capability of the service innovation and data-driven decision-making, a service innovation assessment framework and an article about it were created. The results of the research were presented to experts, whose views were utilized in the development of the service innovation readiness assessment model.
The outcome of the study revealed that the service innovation assessment model should consist of not only the capabilities of the service innovation and data-driven decision-making but the background factors of the innovation capability too. In addition, the assessment model should be examined from the perspective of its target group and considerate its linguistic accessibility. In the future, the assessment model will be utilized in the current state analyses of the first phase of the NUOTTA project. Based on the experience gained from them, the assessment model could be further developed if necessary.
