The purpose of this thesis was to create a service concept for an event of well-being at work that would generate customer value for the services of a restaurant to meet the needs of corporate customers. Many organisations understand the importance of well-being at work, but its practical implementation has often been considered difficult. Since people spend a large part of their lives at work, well-being at work plays a major role in coping and quality of life both at work and in leisure time. However, the development of well-being at work requires a comprehensive understanding and determined work. The purpose of this work was to create a concrete opportunity that would allow companies to improve their well-being at work. The aim of the work was to find out what elements affect the formation of customer value and to form a service entity that creates customer value, is easy to sell and that enables sales growth.
The study was carried out as a qualitative study that utilised multi-methodological approaches. The work utilized the stages of the service design process. The methods used were an interview with the client, a concept map, benchmarking, Porter's generic model, Business Model Canvas, a brainstorming session and a survey. The survey was sent by e-mail to corporate customers of the client organisation. The theory of well-being at work, especially the steps of well-being at work, was used as a basis, but the survey was formulated in a customer-friendly format. The aim of the survey was to find out about issues affecting customers' well-being at work and customer value. The versatile use of methods made it possible to perceive the entity and delve into the topic under study.
According to the results, customer value was formed by individual attention to the customer, meeting customer needs, well-being, ease, trends, distinctiveness, as well as experiential and memorable services i.e. the wow effect. Based on these, a tool was formulated for the client organisation that enables them to arrange a comprehensive customer event to support well-being at work and to generate customer value. The testing and evaluation of the concept was left to the client organisation.
