Tiivistelmä
Terveyskylä uudistaa digitaalisia terveyspalveluja ja potilaan hoitopolkuja. Yksi digihoitopolun käyttötarkoituksista on tarjota sähköinen kanava tutkimukseen valmistautumiseen. Potilasohjeisiin perehtyminen, kyselyiden täyttäminen ja hoitaviin ammattilaisiin viestien välityksellä yhteydessä oleminen on mahdollista ajasta ja paikasta riippumatta. Digihoitopolku tarjoaa mahdollisuuden hyödyntää visuaalisia keinoja kirjallisen valmistelumateriaalin tukena.
Digihoitopolkua kehitettiin saatujen ehdotusten mukaisesti. Sähköisessä muodossa oleva digihoitopolku on alati mukautuva tarpeiden muuttuessa ja sitä on tarkoitus jatkuvasti kehittää saadun käyttäjäpalautteen perusteella. This thesis was a research and development project carried out in collaboration with the Health Village and Oulu University Hospital. The purpose of the development work was to create a digital treatment path for pediatric patients coming for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) through the Children's Day Hospital. The aim of the thesis was to develop a uniform and easily accessible digital preparation material for MRI-examination for the needs of children, teenagers, and their families.
The purpose of the first part of the research phase was to describe the experiences of children and families who had undergone MRI-examination, about preparation and its adequacy before the introduction of the digital treatment path and to sort out their wishes for the future digital treatment path. The findings were collected through an electronic Webropol survey and analyzed using qualitative content analysis. According to the results, the children and their families would have needed more information about, for example, the course of the examination day and the duration of the MRI-examination. The information was requested in a form that children could understand. The desire to use images and videos to support the preparation material emerged in the research findings. Based on the research results, previous preparation material and the experience of the expert group, a digital treatment path for a child and teenager entering MRI-examination was developed. The digital treatment path travels through the entire preparation path for MRI-examination, utilizing images, videos, and audio to support the written material.
In connection with the pilot phase of the digital treatment path, the second part of the research phase was carried out. The experiences of children and families in using the digital treatment path were collected through an electronic Webropol survey. Families were largely satisfied with both the usability of the path and the content of the instructions. Families considered the path to be clear and easy to use, to have access to information, and to prepare for the examination at a family-friendly time. The written instructions were considered clear and comprehensible. The visual material was considered to be very suitable for children. The amendments concerned the condensation and clarification of the text and the clarity of some of the information. The digital treatment path was developed in accordance with the proposals received. The digital treatment path is always adaptable to changing needs and is to be continuously developed based on the user feedback.
