Tiivistelmä
The subject of the thesis is to look at the emergence of trust as the ecosystem builds. Using the Merikartta project, a carbon-neutral circular economy ecosystem will be built in Finland. Almost 90% of the world's freight is transported by sea. Through trust, the structure of cooperation is strengthened and the best-planned outcome is achieved.
The theoretical framework of the research consisted of trust, service design, ecosystem, and circular economics. A study plan was drawn up to interview scientists involved in ecosystems, and workshops were created to provide information about the importance of trust and create the possibility of building trust on the digital platform through discussion and community.
The study showed the role of facilitators is relevant in creating trust in the ecosystem. Important factors in establishing trust are benevolence, integrity, and know-how.
