Yksinkertaistaen multichannel sisältää eri myyntikanavia, joita ohjataan kaupan toimesta omina polkuinaan.
Opinnäytetyön lopuksi luotiin yksi mahdollinen palvelupolku, jossa toteutuu teoriaosuudessa esille tuotuja kohtia. Samalla esiteltiin näkemys yrityksen X kehityskohteista matkalla kohti parempaa omnichannel-kokemusta. This thesis deals with multichannel sales - more specifically the omnichannel service suite at company X. The omnichannel is all seen as a channel in which various channels, such as online and pivot, merge seamlessly.
In my work I start with what is a multichannel and how it has evolved and is developing into an omnichannel. To simplify the multichannel contains various sales channels that are controlled by the trade as their own paths. Omnichannel, on the other hand, fuses all channels and acts on the customer's terms. The consumer selects the channel that best serves him/her and the store adapts and supports that channel with other channels, creating a seamless shopping experience for the customer.
At company X I studied their current status in omnichannel followed by stores and e-commerce in the form of service paths. I made the survey by interviewing the personnel and one of the company's regional managers. Company X has two clear service channels, a foundation and an online store. It has begun to combine them to become more customer-oriented by adopting the in-store order concept.
In this thesis I examined the company's operations through three different service paths, " product can be found in the store", "product can be found in another store" and "product can be found just in order selection". In observing and mirroring these I have found the company's challenge points, related to tools, routines, as well as slow logistics.
Finally, I created one possible path for the service which is made apparent only in the theoretical part. Also I share my views on areas for the development of company X in order to achieve a better omnichannel- experience for customers.
