Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyömme on toiminnallinen projektityö, joka perustuu Ristiinassa kevättalvella 2006 tehtyyn Satupuu-projektiin. Projektiin osallistuivat Ristiinan kirjasto ja Hangastenmaan, Kirkonkylän, Kuomion, Pellosniemen sekä Vitsiälän koulut. Toimeksiantajana opinnäytetyössämme toimii Mikkelin kaupungin kirjasto – Etelä-Savon maakuntakirjasto.
Opinnäytetyömme käsittelee suomalaista sadutusmenetelmää. Sadutuksessa annetaan lapselle mahdollisuus kertoa omia ajatuksiaan. Lapsi kertoo saduttajalle omin sanoin tarinan, jonka saduttaja kirjaa ylös sana sanalta. Tämän jälkeen sadun kirjaaja lukee tarinan lapselle ja lapsi saa korjata halutessaan kertomaansa satua. Työmme koostuu sadutuksen perusteista ja Satupuu-projektin kuvauksesta.
Sadutimme projektin aikana kaikki 1. - 2. luokkien oppilaat. Sadutuksen jälkeen lapset maalasivat omista saduista. Toukokuussa 2006 kokosimme lasten tuotoksista näyttelyn Ristiinan kirjastoon.
Our bachelor's thesis is a functional project based on the Satupuu-project completed in Ristiina in late winter 2006. The library of Ristiina and the schools of Hangastenmaa, Kirkonkylä, Kuomio, Pellosniemi and Vitsiälä participated in the project. The bachelor's thesis was commissioned by the library in the town of Mikkeli, the provincial library of Etelä-Savo.
Our bachelor's thesis deals with Finnish story crafting-method. During story crafting the child is given the possibility to tell his or her own thoughts. The child tells in his or her own words a story to an adult who records the child’s story word by word. After this the adult reads the story to the child and the child may repair the fairy tale if he or she wishes. Our work is composed of the basics of story crafting and a description of the Satupuu-project.
During the project all the pupils of the 1st - 2nd classes told their own stories to us. After the story crafting, the children painted their own fairy tales. In May 2006 we collected an exhibition from the children's creations for the library of Ristiina. As a result of the project we edited a book of children’s fairy tales and paintings Laiskakatti and Faaraokissa and other fairy tales in autumn of 2007.
The purpose of the Satupuu-project was to have culture produced by the children themselves seen and appreciated. With story crafting we wanted to inspire children to bring out their own ideas and thoughts and to encourage them in their own expression. Furthermore, we wanted to give ideas to schools and the library, for developing new forms of activity.
