The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to study the communication between a case company and its sales network. The analysis is done mainly using theories of integrated marketing communications, but general communication theory is also applied. The material for this study is collected by interviewing one employee of the case company, as well as two representatives of the sales network. The information obtained from the interviews is examined in relation to the theories presented, and the aim is to evaluate the efficiency of the company's communications through human competence.
The study showed that the case company's communications are already at a good level, but they are also constantly being developed. The different areas of communication are at different stages of the communication planning process, but the direction is coherent and evolving. The partners already felt that the communication was uniform and supported the principles of integrated marketing communication, but the company still wants to develop its brand to be clearer. The most significant communication problems that arose were the modest resources of a small business, which limit all marketing activities, and the travel problems caused by the corona pandemic, which have prevented face-to-face meetings in recent years. The responses to the interviews were supportive of previous research on integrated marketing communications, and in light of this, effective communication to the sales network was found to consist of human will and expertise, unity of materials and messages, and clear brand communication to the stakeholders.
