Microenterprises impact on employment has been in the years following the financial crisis clearly on the rise and they already employ more than 10% of companies operating in Finland personnel. Microenterprise employs from one to four people, so microenterprise is characterized by, inter alia, the lack of time and scarce information and financial resources. A small company's business model is generally flexible to changes in the operating environment, but at the same time sensitive to remain competitive in the changed situation. The best thing about the anticipation of changes would be to taking care of the customer satisfaction. Awareness of the problem of the sensitivity of microenterprises and the growing importance of national economy giving rise to their exploration and development.
The main objectives of this study was to improve the value chain of microenterprise, shorten the lead time of process and improve information management that a value of the service received by customer's experience would be excellent. Empirical data of the company was collected on site in two stages for a total of almost two months. The obtained data were analyzed using qualitative research methods as a case study of development project. On the basis of the first stage of study was the core of current state of process according to modeling by swimlane model description method. This modeling was one of the base of developing work and further was used tools as value chain analysis, value to customer, as well as Lean Six Sigma development tools for background
theories related to the study. The core process already clarified significantly as a result of the first current state AS-IS-modeling. For the second stage of study was planned a new TO-BE process model, a comprehensive testing still requires development of an ERP system as a separate research project. The study outcome was to get customer value-adding elements to value chain and minimize the deviations of the value chain and shorten the lead time of process. Microenterprise point of view, these reduce the financial risk to the business, improve the efficiency of the value chain and increase customer satisfaction. Documented core process is intended to facilitate the future, a new employee breaking-in, learning, motivation and process data targeted movement. In addition, this research project has brought the company to the continuous development of process thinking.
