Tiivistelmä
"Proactive Management and Proactive Business Law – A Handbook” is an outcome of a proactive management and proactive business law curriculum development and research project on proactive law. The purpose of the book is to provide students and professionals the knowledge base for learning proactive law, prevention and resolution of disputes, proactive contracting as well as proactive management issues at the university level. Today’s complex business world calls for new competences and compatible innovative materials. This Handbook is based on a systemic view to the legal and business environments, offering a synthesis of these for preparing students to face real-life challenges.
Business and law as well as management and corporate social responsibility are inseparably embedded in the global economic environment. On a global scale, law and its implementation and monitoring are no longer the prerogative of the public law maker as private actors are taking an active role in rule making.
The writers of the Handbook are researchers and teachers in business schools and law schools or practitioners of either law or business. The common nominator of the writers is an interdisciplinary approach to the topic. By taking advantage of their multifaceted backgrounds and an interdisciplinary approach to the topic, the writers have been able to bridge the gap between law and business.
