Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi evolution equations
When calculating scattering probabilities in high momentum transfer hadronic processes perturbatively in quantum chromodynamics (QCD) we find we have to parametrize our ignorance of the hadron structure into so called parton distribution functions (PDF). Even though we cannot derive these parton distributions through perturbation theory, we are able to find analytically the Dokshitzer–Gribov–Lipatov–Altarelli–Parisi (DGLAP) equations which govern their scale evolution.
By considering deeply inelastic lepton–hadron scattering (DIS) we see that in massless QCD collinear divergences are produced. Including these divergent terms into the definitions of parton distributions leads to finite physical quantities and to the DGLAP evolution. In this thesis we derive the DGLAP equations and the related Altarelli–Parisi splitting functions to the leading logarithmic accuracy.

Unequal rapidity correlators in the dilute limit of the JIMWLK evolution
Lappi, Tuomas; Ramnath, Andrecia (American Physical Society, 2019)We study unequal rapidity correlators in the stochastic Langevin picture of Jalilian-Marian–Iancu–McLerran–Weigert–Leonidov–Kovner (JIMWLK) evolution in the color glass condensate effective field theory. We discuss a ... -
Confronting the impact parameter dependent JIMWLK evolution with HERA data
Mäntysaari, Heikki; Schenke, Björn (American Physical Society, 2018)The small-x evolution of protons is determined from numerical solutions of the JIMWLK equations, starting from an initial condition at moderate x for a finite size proton. The resulting dipole amplitude is used to calculate ... -
Helicity evolution at small x : Revised asymptotic results at large Nc and Nf
Adamiak, Daniel; Kovchegov, Yuri V.; Tawabutr, Yossathorn (American Physical Society (APS), 2023)We present a numerical solution of the revised version [J. High Energy Phys. 07 (2022) 095] of the small-x helicity evolution equations from [J. High Energy Phys. 01 (2016) 072, Phys. Rev. D 99, 054032 (2019)] at large Nc ... -
High-energy dipole scattering amplitude from evolution of low-energy proton light-cone wave functions
Dumitru, Adrian; Mäntysaari, Heikki; Paatelainen, Risto (American Physical Society (APS), 2023)The forward scattering amplitude of a small dipole at high energies is given in the mean field approximation by the Balitsky-Kovchegov (BK) evolution equation. It requires an initial condition N(r;x0) describing the ... -
