- Wikipedia, katsottu 30.11.2022 (IN MEMORIAM - Karl Gunnar Mathias Löfström (1903 - 1984) Engineer Major General, Dr. h.c. K. G. Löfström died on August 14, 1984 in Helsinki. In him we lost a highly estimated personality, widely known even outside Finland. His outstanding contribution to the development of photogrammetry is evident. Dr. Löfström was born on March 22, 1903 in Juuka in the eastern part of Finland. He graduated as diploma engineer from the Department of Electrical Engineering of the Helsinki University of Technology in 1925. In addition, he studied geodesy and photogrammetry in the Department of Surveying in the years 1936-37, and prepared a thesis on photogrammetry.)
