A business ecosystem can be any kind of value networks that work for the same target. They consist of several stakeholders that all may benefit of the value the business ecosystem creates. It is a different approach for the international matrix organization to involve this kind of design thinking inside the organization. The idea of it is to organize the stakeholders in a new way to find new solutions. The business ecosystem can be a way for an organization to unify its internal activites as in this research. Many times, the business ecosystem is built around a platform that is a link between the stakeholders and creates the base for the network.
Change management, leadership skills and innovative thinking are needed when improving the systems. Multicultural working and complex matrix organization bring own challenges, but also advantages to the organizations. Nowadays a lot of human-technology teamwork is needed to help people work more efficiently, but it requires new skills and commitment from individuals as well as from the entire organization.
Aim of this research is to optimize salespersons’ work by exploiting and improving the existing technology to ease the data management and sharing the data inside the organization. The development is done with a help of an internal business ecosystem around the case.
