Tiivistelmä
Kandidaatintyössä tutkittiin kirjallisuuskatsauksena voimalaitoskattilan kunnossapidon ainetta rikkomattomissa tarkastuksissa yleisimmin käytettäviä tarkastusmenetelmiä. Höyrykattilalaitoksen perusrakennetta tutkittiin kirjallisuuskatsauksena erilaisten kattilatyyppien, laitoksissa käytettävien komponenttien, sekä laitosten sisältämien lämpöpintojen osalta. Työssä tutkittiin höyrykattilan eri komponentteihin sovellettavia tarkastusmenetelmiä.
Tehtyjen tarkastusten perusteella kerättyjen tarkastustulosten soveltamista kattilalaitoksen kunnon seuraamiseen tutkittiin. Työssä esitettiin keinoja tarkastustulosten sähköiseen tallentamiseen, graafiseen esittämiseen ja tulkintaan. Kerätyn tiedon hyödyntämistä havainnollistettiin yhden mittapisteen vuosittaisten tarkastustulosten graafisen esittämisen muodossa.
Työssä esitetyn yksittäisen mittapisteen tarkastustulosten graafiseen kuvaamiseen perustuva menetelmä todettiin toimivaksi myös suuremman mittapistejoukon tarkastustulosten graafiseen esittämiseen. Menetelmällä todettiin olevan mahdollista seurata laajemman kuin yhden mittapisteen tarkastustulosten kehittymistä useiden tasaisin väliajoin toistuvien tarkastuskertojen välillä.
Tietyn tarkastusten kohteena olevan kattilaputken kuluneisuuden tulevan kehittymisen arvioimisen todettiin olevan mahdollista, huomioiden kuitenkin käytetyn arviointimenetelmän heikkoudet ja epävarmuudet menetelmän luotettavuutta ja sovellettavuutta arvioitaessa. Esitetyn menetelmän todettiin olevan hyödyllinen kattilaputkiston kunnon seurantaa ja putkiston kunnon tulevaa kehittymistä arvioitaessa verrattaessa menetelmän käyttöä tilanteeseen, jossa putkiston kuntoa ei seurata järjestelmällisesti. This bachelor’s thesis investigates the most common non-destructive testing methods used in the maintenance process of a power boiler as a literature review of previous research. The basic structure of a steam-boiler plant is investigated as well as a literature review while including the different components and heat surfaces of the steam power plant. The inspection methods used in different power plant components were also investigated.
The utilization of the result’s gained in the inspections selected for the power plant in the maintenance process of the plant was investigated. Methods of saving the inspection results in digital format were introduced along with methods to present and analyze the gathered results. The utilization of the composed results was demonstrated in an case study of the annual inspection results of a single measurement point on a boiler tube located in an array of boiler tubes.
It was concluded that the method used in the graphical presentation of the annual measurement results of a single measurement point on a boiler tube is applicable to be used in the case of multiple measurement points in a tube array. The method was found to be usable for the purposes of monitoring the annual development of inspection results on multiple measurement points on boiler tubes.
The wear monitoring of a boiler tube using the method introduced on the thesis was found to be applicable. However it was found out that there are certain disadvantages and error margins associated with the method described which need to be taken into account when using the method. It was found out that the method is highly applicable in monitoring of current and future wear of boiler tubes when compared to a situation where the condition of the boiler tubes is not systematically monitored.
