In this thesis a new approach is described for the validation of an analytical method. Emphasis in this study has been placed on the calibration and specificity of the method. Specificity is ensured by building an interference matrix, which is used along with multiple linear regression to find potential interfering elements. In addition to successfully find the potential interferents, it is essential that the practical impact of these factors are known; the impact is controlled using multiple linear regression equations. One key element in this study was the elimination of critical multiple linear regression assumption violations at various stages. It has been found that the utilizitation of these procedures is beneficial when extreme accuracy and reliability is required in industrial analysis.

The use of social media for knowledge acquisition and dissemination in B2B companies : an empirical study of Finnish technology industries
Ammirato, Salvatore; Felicetti, Alberto Michele; Gala, Marco Della; Aramo-Immonen, Heli; Jussila, Jari; Kärkkäinen, Hannu (Taylor & Francis, 2019)Scholars and practitioners of knowledge management have paid increasing attention to the adoption of social media in business-to-business (B2B) setting for knowledge sharing; however, both the theoretical and empirical ... -
Development of methods for fertilizer analysis by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry
Matilainen, Rose (1997)Developing the ICP-AES method to a standard method of determination was performed for five nutrients (B, Mg, Fe, S and Ca) in commercial fertilizers. The procedure included finding the best analytical wavelengths on the ... -
Development of High Resolution Resonance Ionization Mass Spectrometry for Neutron Dosimetry Technique with93Nb(n,n')93mNb Reaction

Development of a method based on laser-induced plasma spectrometry for rapid spatial analysis of material distributions in paper coatings
Häkkänen, Heikki (1998)A rapid and low-cost analytical method for studying the material distributions of paper coatings has been developed. The method operates in the dimensional scale of a raster point in printing (≈0.1 mm ) and on the other ... -

(International Union of Crystallography, 2018)Phytochromes are red-light photoreceptors that were first characterized in plants, with homologs in photosynthetic and non-photosynthetic bacteria known as bacteriophytochromes (BphPs). Upon absorption of light, BphPs ...
