Mikropuhe is a commercial Finnish language speech synthesizer developed by Timehouse. It can be used either as such with the aid of Mikropuhe text editor or as a utility programme through SAPI connection. The synthesizer can speak through a sound card into a file and straight to a phone connection. Windows, Linux and Windows CE compatible.

There are several options to choose from to adjust the speech, including speed, frequency and gender. The text interpretation system makes reading abbreviations in an understandable form possible.

Mikropuhe on Timehousen kehittämä suomenkielinen puhesyntetisaattori eli ohjelma, joka muuntaa tekstiä puheeksi. Ohjelmaa voit käyttää joko sellaisenaan Mikropuhe-tekstieditoria hyödyntäen tai apuohjelmana SAPI-liitynnän kautta. Syntetisaattori osaa puhua äänikortin kautta, tiedostoon ja lisäksi suoraan puhelinlinjalle. Laitealustaksi kelpaa Windowsin lisäksi Linux ja Windowsin pikkuveli Windows CE.

Puheen nopeus, äänen korkeus, puheen rauhallisuus ja monet muut puhearvot ovat säädettävissä juuri sinulle miellyttävän kuuloisiksi. Valittavana on sekä miehen että naisen ääni ja tekstintulkintajärjestelmä mahdollistaa lyhenteiden lukemisen ymmärrettävässä muodossa.
