Tiivistelmä
This study aimed to study the influence of job satisfaction and codes of ethics on the integrity of police officers on the scale of Ho Chi Minh City. The study applies the same model of Rohana Othman, which was carried out in two district police departments in Shah Alam and Johor Bahru, Malaysia. The data for this study is gathered using using well-structured questionnaires distributed among 202 traffic police officers from the Road Traffic Division in Ho Chi Minh City.
The study, applied for the Vietnam case has also confirmed, that job satisfaction and codes of ethics have significant influence towards the level of integrity among police officers. Using the data from both Malaysia and Vietnam, the study makes a comparison and also tries to explain the difference of the integrity level between two police forces.
The result of this study will serve to find out accurately the factors, that can improve levels of integrity among the police officers in Ho Chi Minh City in particular, and Vietnam in general. It can also help the decision makers in Vietnam to develop appropriate policies to enhance the efficiency of police forces.
