Tiivistelmä
Lasten ja perheiden varhaisen tuen tarve on lisääntynyt. Tähän haasteeseen pyrittiin vastaamaan Jyväskylän kaupungin lasten päivähoitopalveluissa Kuokkalan alueella päivähoidon perhetyön kehittämishankkeen avulla 1.3.2003 - 31.7.2004 Hankkeessa tavoitteena oli kehittää uudenlaisia toimintamuotoja, joiden avulla pyrittiin tukemaan perheitä heidän kasvatustehtävässään ja vahvistamaan arkipäivän pulmatilanteiden hallintaa voimavarakeskeisin työmenetelmin. Toisena tavoitteena hankkeessa oli kehittää päivähoidon peruspalvelun yhteyteen työmalli, jonka avulla perheet voivat saada matalakynnyksistä apua. Päämääränä oli aito ja avoin kasvatuskumppanuus. Perhetyön avulla voitiin antaa tilaa perheiden itse esille ottamille kasvatuskysymyksille, arjen huolille jakeskusteluille. Perhetyön toimintamuodoissa pyrittiin perheiden omia voimavaroja korostavaan tasavertaiseen kumppanuuteen. Päivähoidon perhetyö on ennaltaehkäisevää, matalakynnyksistä perheiden tukemista eri elämäntilanteissa. The need of the early support for children and families has increased. The children's day-care services of the city of Jyväskylä tried to answer this challenge in theKuokkala area with an improvement project between March 1st, 2003 and July 31st, 2004. The objective of the project was to develop new kinds of operations models to support the families in their educational work and strengthen the control of the problem situations in their everyday life with resourcecentric working methods. The second objective of the project was to develop a working model for the basic services of day-care which would help the families to get low-threshold help. The main target was to obtain a real and open educational partnership. With the help of the family work, space was given to the educational issues the families themselves had brought up, to everyday concerns and to conversations. The working methods of the family work aimed at an equal partnership underlining thefamilies' own resources. The day-care family work is preventive, lowthreshold support for families in different life situations. With the help of the day-care family work the families were often helped with quite a little amount of help and this enabled the support of the families with children in day-care in their educational tasks. As a daycare family worker I worked with day-care centres, withchildren's day-care in private families and with the customer families of a family park, consulted the day-care workers and worked together with a multioccupational cooperation network. The working methods of the family work were, among others, home visits, conversations, family meetings and consultation for the day-care workers, as well as small group work with children and peer group work with parents. The working methods developed during the project enabled the development of day-care working methods to be more family-oriented and thus the professional skills of the staff increased. The day-care workers obtained new methods for the collaboration with the families. The possibilities of the day-care family work were seen as manifold and the experiences obtained from the project will be made good use of in the improvement of children's day-care services' family work and play work as well as in the Family-project of the Jyväskylä area, which began in the autumn of 2005. The Family- project's participants are the city of Jyväskylä, Jyväskylän maalaiskunta, Laukaa and Muurame.
