Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli selvittää raskaana olevien kokemia tunteita ja mielialoja aikaisempiin julkaisuihin perustuen. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin narratiivisena kirjallisuuskatsauksena (n=38) ja nettikeskusteluiden (n=13) laadullisena sisällönanalyysinä. Tavoitteena on lisätä raskaana olevien naisten tietoutta ja ymmärrystä siitä, minkälaisia tunteita ja mielialoja raskausaikana voi kokea. Opinnäytetyössä ilmi tulleista tunteista ja mielialoista koostettiin sisältöä Varsinais-Suomen sairaanhoitopiiriin kuuluvan, opinnäytetyön toimeksiantajan, Turun yliopistollisen keskussairaalan (Tyks) Naistenklinikan di-gihoitopolkuun.Kirjallisuuskatsauksessa jätettiin pois COVID19-aiheiset julkaisut, joten niin tehtiin myös nettikeskustelujen sisällönanalyysissä. Kaikista löydetyistä tunteista ja mielialoista luotiin kuviot, joissa tunteet ja mielialat ovat jaoteltu positiivisiin, negatiivisiin sekä moniulotteisiin.
Ensimmäisen kysymyksen ohjaamana selvitettiin millaisia tunteita ja mielialoja raskaana oleva kokee. Toinen ohjaava kysymys käsitteli kehon fyysisten muutosten vaikutusta tunteisiin ja mielialoihin. Tutkitussa tiedossa korostui erityisesti negatiivisina koetut tunteet ja mielialat, kuten masentuneisuus ja ahdistuneisuus. Positiivisia ja moniulotteisia tunteita ja mielialoja, kuten ilo, mielihyvä ja hämmennys, tuli esiin enemmän nettikeskusteluissa. Suuressa roolissa eri tunteiden ja mielialojen ilmenemiseen ovat myös raskauden eri kolmannekset, joissa äidin suhtautuminen itseensä ja tulevaan lapseen vaihtelee. Myös kehon fyysisten muutosten vaikutukset tunteisiin ja mielialoihin haluttiin nostaa esiin. Kirjallisuuskatsauksen ja nettikeskusteluiden pohjalta löydettiin selkeä yhteys fyysisten kokemusten sekä tunteiden ja mielialojen välillä. Kehon fyysiset kokemukset koettiin useimmiten positiivisena asiana, mutta fyysiset kokemukset aiheuttivat myös negatiivisia tunteita ja mielialoja. Kaiken kaikkiaan tunteita ja mielialoja löydettiin kirjallisuuskatsauksesta ja nettikeskusteluista yhteensä 51 erilaista, joista 25 oli tunteita ja 26 mielialoja.
Niin ammattilaisten, kuin myös raskaana olevien sekä heidän läheistensä on tärkeää huomata tilanteet, joissa on riski vakavallekin psyykkiselle sairaudelle. Näin tilanteisiin voitaisiin tarjota apua ajoissa ja ennaltaehkäistä niitä. Kaikki tämä on erityisen tärkeää paitsi äidin, myös tulevan lapsen näkökulmasta. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis was to find out the emotions and moods that women experience during a pregnancy. The thesis was implemented as a narrative literature review (n=38) and as a qualitative content analysis of an online discussions (n=13). The goal of the thesis is to increase pregnant women’s awareness and understanding of the emotions and moods they may experience during the pregnancy. The emotions and moods expressed in the thesis were used to compile content for the digital care pathway of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The department of the obstetrics and gynaecology is a part of the Turku University Hospital and the thesis was commissioned by them. The narrative literature review and a qualitative contet analysis of the online discussions excluded publications of the COVID19. The figures were created from all the emotions and moods found. The emotions and moods were divided into a positive, negative and multidimensional categories.
The aim of the first guided question of the research was to find out what kind of emotions and moods may a woman experience during the pregnancy. The second guided question of the research is about the effects of the psychical changes of the body on the emotions and moods. The research data was highlighted especially by the emotions and moods that are experienced as a negative like a dejection and anxiety. The positive and multidimensional emotions and moods like happiness, pleasure and confusion actually occured more in the online discussions. The different thirds of pregnancy also play a major role in the expression of different emotions and moods, in which the mother's attitude towards herself and the unborn child varies.The effects of physical changes of the body on the emotions and moods also wanted to be highlighted. There were found a clear unity between the physical experiences and emotions and moods experienced. The physical changes of the body were usually experienced as a positive thing but they also caused the negative emotions and moods. Over all there were found 51 different emotions and moods. 26 of them were moods and 25 emotions.
Both as a health care professional and pregnant woman and their close ones, it is important to notice those situations that has a risk of even serious psychical disorders. In that case the help will be given in time and prevent the disorders. All these things are very important not from the mother’s point of view but also the baby’s.
