The aim of the thesis was to draw up a corporate social responsibility report (CSR) for Kalajoki Christian College. The CSR report will be updated on a yearly basis, or if necessary, every two years. It will be published together with financial statement and it can also be seen on their webpage. The objective was to define goals for environmental responsibility, financial responsibility and social responsibility and define methods how these goals are executed and how they will be followed and reported. The team of sustainability development in Kalajoki Christian College are defining the most important issues for this organization and how these responsibility goals are followed and reported.
The first and second part of the thesis familiarized with corporate responsibility and what it especially means for this college. After that was known better, what responsibility actions they already do in financial, environmental, educational, and social level. When these were written down, it was explored how they are executed and followed and what could have been done better. In the third part was written a framework for corporate responsibility report, what it should include, what must be implemented and how, and who is responsible for the information that the report includes.
The expected outcome was that the company is seen livelier and more active member in society. With the help of the corporate responsibility report organization can tell their values, actions and goals of sustainable development in a clear way.
