Opinnäytetyö on kehittämispainotteinen toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö, joka sisältää kirjallisen opinnäytetyön lisäksi koulutuksen Diakonissalaitoksen lasten ja nuorten intensiivihoidon osastoilla työskenteleville ohjaajille. Opinnäytetyön tavoiteltu vaikutus oli vahvistaa koulutuksella ajankohtaista, oikeaoppista tietoa sosiaalialan- ja lastensuojelun ammattilaisille, joilla on vain vähän kokemusta kliinisen hoitotyön tehtävistä.
Opinnäytetyö on työelämälähtöinen. Työelämän yhteistyökumppanina toimi Diakonissalaitos. Kohderyhmä oli Diakonissalaitoksen Lapsi- ja perhetyön palvelualueen lasten ja nuorten intensiivihoidon osastojen ohjaajat.
Kehittämistyön prosessi oli koulutusten sisällön ja toteutuksen suunnittelua. Teoreettisena viitekehyksenä oli lasten ja nuorten verenpainearvot, verenpaineen oikeaoppinen mittaaminen ja seuranta, mittaustuloksiin vaikuttavat tekijät sekä hyvän koulutuksen sisältö, suunnittelu ja toteutus.
Opinnäytetyössä esitellään kaksi koulutuskertaa. Ensimmäinen oli pilottikoulutus. Ensimmäisestä koulutuksesta saadun kokemuksen ja palautteen pohjalta suunniteltiin mallinnus. Koulutus sisälsi PowerPoint esityksen, luennon aiheesta, kysymys- ja keskusteluosion sekä osallistavan käytännön harjoitteen, jossa harjoiteltiin ohjattuna verenpaineen oikeaoppista mittaamista.
Opinnäytetyön lopputuloksena oli sekä koulutettavien että kouluttajan asiantuntijuuden vahvistaminen.

This thesis is a development-oriented functional thesis, and it aims to produce a training for the social work and child welfare professionals of the children and youth intensive treatment units in the child and family service area at the Deaconess Institute. The objective of the thesis was to provide current and adequate training of clinical health care tasks for the social work and child welfare professionals with little experience on clinical healthcare tasks.
The development work project in working life was carried out in cooperation with the Deaconess Institute. In the target group were the social work and child welfare professionals of the children and youth intensive treatment units in the child and family service area at the Deaconess Institute. The process of the thesis project consisted of planning and carrying out the training. As the theoretical framework for the project the adequate procedure of measuring and tracking blood pressure, the factors affecting the measurements and the blood pressure values of children and young people were established. In addition, the pedagogy of planning and carrying out a useful training was studied.
The thesis work resulted eventually two different training sessions. The first one was a pilot training. The second training was designed and held as a model based on the experiences and feedback of the pilot. The training contained a PowerPoint slide presentation, a lecture on the subject, a question and discussion section and an inclusive functional exercise where a guided and accurate measuring of blood pressure was practiced.
In conclusion, the process of developing the training improved and affirmed the expertise of all the parties involved.
