Tiivistelmä
The study serves as a foundation for an upcoming project regarding the development of a digital Work Permits system. It was done so by evaluating existing procedures with executed Hot Work Permits and comparing the findings with a theoretical model of a digital Work Permit system. To accurately evaluate the Hot Work Permits and to get more nuanced answers of the questions a person with extensive experience of the existing Work Permit system was consulted and interviewed.
The digital Work Permit system model was outlined with the purpose of being closely compatible with the existing TelScope platform developed by Telko AS Norway. Further studies are needed to examine how such a product would be introduced onboard ships and to fit variable onboard Work Permit procedures.
