This paper focuses on the methanol synthesis process. Methanol is a very important organic chemical raw material and fuel, which is applied in many fields.
Firstly, the development of methanol production, methanol synthesis process and methanol development prospect are introduced. The Lurgi process was used to synthesize methanol under low pressure. The crude methanol obtained from the synthesis tower is refined by three-tower distillation process. Then, the detailed material balance calculation of methanol synthesis and distillation process, as well as the calculation of distillation tower are carried out.
Finally, the discharge of wastewater, waste gas and waste residue are strictly controlled to reduce environmental pollution.
