Tiivistelmä
Aivoverenkiertohäiriöt ovat aivoverenkierron tai aivoverisuonten sairauksia. Aivohalvaus on aivotoimintojen häiriö.
Jatkokehittämisideana on samasta aiheesta tehtävä toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö, jossa toiminnallinen osuus on suullinen ohjaus. Lisäksi opaslehtisessä esitettyjen ohjeiden noudattamista olisi hyödyllistä tutkia A cerebrovascular disorder means that the blood supply to a part of your brain is interrupted or reduced. Each year 24 000 Finns suffer a cerebrovascular disorder, which can be caused by a cerebral infarction, intracerebral haemorrhage, subarachnoid haemorrhage or a cerebral venous thrombosis. Cerebrovascular disorders are the fourth common cause of death worldwide. Good nutrition improves the quality of life and ability to function. It also prevents cardiovascular diseases from emerging and speeds up the recovery process. Regular physical activity improves the outcome of the rehabilitation patients as to functional capacity, health, and quality of life and helps to prevent the occurrence of new cerebrovascular disorders.
The aim of this thesis was to give cerebrovascular disorder patients undergoing rehabilitation more information about the condition itself and the enhancement of rehabilitation through lifestyle. The objective of this thesis was to give the rehabilitation patients an information leaflet on self-care at home. A follow-up thesis could focus on verbal guidance given to cerebrovascular disorder patients undergoing rehabilitation. Additionally, it would be good to investigate how well the rehabilitation patients follow the given advice.
