Tiivistelmä
Projektiluontoisen opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli luoda valmis runko ja aikataulu yläkouluikäisille nuorille järjestettäville päihdeaiheisille toiminnallisille kouluvierailuille, sekä järjestää pilottivierailu yläasteikäisille. Aihe valikoitui aiheen kiinnostavuuden ja ajankohtaisuuden vuoksi. Projektissa tilaajana toimi Suomen Punaisen Ristin Satakunnan piiri. Projektissa suunniteltiin ja toteutettiin päihdeaiheinen toiminnallinen kouluvierailu 7.-9.-luokkalaisille nuorille Porilaisessa koulussa. Projektin tavoitteena oli luoda tilaajalle toimiva, ja ikätasolle sopiva sisältö jota tilaaja pystyy myös jatkossa käyttämään vierailuilla.
Opinnäytetyössä menetelmänä käytettiin projektin menetelmää ja noudatettiin toiminnallisen opinnäytetyön oheistusta. Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuudessa käsiteltiin ehkäisevää päihdetyötä, päihteitä joihin rajattiin alkoholi, nuuska, tupakka ja kannabis, riippuvuutta sekä nuorten päihdekäyttöä yhtenä käsitteenä. Toteutuksessa tavoitteena oli luoda vuorovaikutuksellinen vierailu, jossa nuorten tietämys päihteistä ja niiden vaikutuksesta ihmisen terveyteen ja hyvinvointiin lisääntyisi, ja saataisiin aiheesta keskustelua ja erilaisia näkemyksiä.
Projekti aloitettiin elokuussa 2019, jolloin tilaajan kanssa sovittiin opinnäytetyön aiheesta. Projektin alkupuolella tutustuttiin SPR:n valmiisiin päihdemateriaaleihin. Projektiluontoinen opinnäytetyö toteutettiin yksilötyöskentelynä. Projektin tuotoksena syntynyt päihdeaiheinen vierailu järjestettiin pilottina Marraskuussa 2019 Porilaisessa yläkoulussa. Suunnittelussa huomioitiin kohderyhmä ja pyrittiin suunnittelemaan ikätasolle sopiva ja kiinnostava kokonaisuus.
Kouluvierailu toteutettiin toiminnallisina rasteina, joita oli kolme kappaletta. Rasteilla aiheina olivat alkoholi, nuuska ja kannabis. Eri aiheisilla rasteilla oli myös riippuvuutta ja muita päihteiden terveydellisiä vaikutuksia käsitteleviä osia. Toiminnallisille rasteille osallistui 28 nuorta. Palautetta kerättiin sekä opettajilta että nuorilta suullisesti ja kirjallisesti. Palautteen perusteella rastien sisältö ja kouluvierailun toteutus oli onnistunut, ja sekä tilaajalta, koulun opettajilta että oppilailta saatiin hyvää palautetta. The purpose of this thesis was to create a basis and timetable for operational, alcohol and drug use related visits for secondary school students, as well as organize the visit in a secondary school. The subject was selected for it is fascinating and topical. This thesis was ordered by Finnish Red Cross. In this project an operational, alcohol and drug use related school event was planned and carried out in a school in Pori. In this thesis it was aimed to create a working, age-appropriate content that Finnish Red Cross can use also in the future.
In a realization of this thesis project method was used. Instructions for functional thesis were also used. As theoretical base the areas of preventional alcohol and drug work, substances which were alcohol, tobacco, snuff and cannabis, as well as addiction and substance use of the youth were investigated. The aim was to create an interactive event that would increase youth’s knowledge on alcohol and drugs, as well as the effects that substance use and abuse has to people’s health and welfare.
The project started in August 2019 by coming to agreement of the subject with the subscriber of the thesis. In the beginning the goal was to find out how much material there was about alcohol and drug use for youth. After the project plan was approved, the event was held in a middle school in Pori on November 2019. The target group was taken to account in planning of the event, and it was striven for that the content of the event was interesting and suitable for secondary school students.
The school visit was carried out as three functional tasks. The four subjects of the event included alcohol, tobacco, snuff and cannabis. These tasks also included parts which dealt with addiction and other effects of substance use on health and welfare. The event was participated by 28 students. Both oral and written feedback was gathered at the end of the event, from the students and the teachers. Based of the feedback from the students and the teachers, as well as the subscriber of the thesis, the project was considered to be successful and the content informative and essential.
