Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli jakaa tietoa 11—15-vuotiaille yleisurheilijoille rasitusvammoja ennaltaehkäisevistä elintavoista. Yleisurheilu on monipuolinen lajikokonaisuus, jonka lajit pohjautuvat erilaisiin liikkumisen perustaitoihin. Keski-Uudenmaan Yleisurheilu ry:n (KUY) tilaama toiminnallinen opinnäytetyö käsitteli laajasti eri terveyden edistämisen teemoja ottaen huomioon nuoren yleisurheilijan erityistarpeet. Aihe on ajankohtainen, sillä rasitusvammojen määrä kasvaa nuorisoyleisurheilussa.
Opinnäytetyön toiminnallinen osuus koostui kolmesta Järvenpäässä KUY:n urheilijoille ja heidän vanhemmilleen pidetystä ohjauskerrasta. Ensimmäisen kerran aiheena oli ravitsemus, toisen lepo sekä palautuminen ja kolmannen rasitus. Ohjauskerrat pohjautuivat työn teoreettiseen viitekehykseen. Tiedonhaku toteutettiin laajasti kirjallisuudesta ja internetistä.
Ohjauskerrat toteutettiin monipuolisina kokonaisuuksina. Ne sisälsivät luento-osia, harjoituksia sekä ryhmä- ja yksilötyöskentelyä. Tilaisuuksiin osallistuneilta kerättiin toiminnallisesti ja kirjallisesti palautetta. Palautteen perusteella osallistujat olivat tyytyväisiä koulutuskokonaisuuteen ja kokivat saaneensa uutta ja konkreettista tietoa urheilua tukevista elintavoista.
Työn tilaaja oli tyytyväinen ohjauskertoihin ja opinnäytetyöstä tehdyn raportin sisältöön. Osallistujat saivat ohjauskerroilta mukaan tiivistelmät ravitsemuksesta ja palautumiseen liittyvistä asioista. Lisäksi opinnäytetyön raportti jää tilaajaseuran hyödynnettäväksi. The aim of the Bachelor’s thesis was to share knowledge to young athletes between the ages of 11 – 15 years of how to prevent repetitive strains by the way of life. Athletics is a versatile unity of different sports which are based on the basic skills of movement. Keski-Uudenmaan Yleisurheilu ry (KUY) ordered this practice based thesis and it deals widely with different perspectives of health promotion also taking into account the individual perspective of the athlete. The rising amount of repetitive strains among especially young athletes was the background to the necessity of this thesis.
The practice based part of this thesis consisted three guidance sessions in Järvenpää for the athletes and their guardians. The first guidance was about nutrition, the second about recovery and the third final one about strain. Guidance sessions were based on the theoretical framework of the thesis. The study was widely done through literature and internet.
Guidance sessions were held as diversified completeness. They included lectures, practice sessions and both group and individual assignments. Feedback was collected in every meeting both functional and written ways. On the grounds of feedback, the attendees were very satisfied in the content of the guidance sessions and thought that they had new and concrete information about how to support their sport through the ways of life.
The commissioner (KUY) was satisfied with the guidance sessions and the content of the thesis. The attendees were given a written summary about nutrition and recovery. Also, the content of the thesis stays reclaimed for the commissioner.
