Tiivistelmä
The main purpose of the study was to compare tools in TeklaStructure for bridge modelling. The compared applications in this thesis were Bridge Creator and Beam extruder. Afterwards, based on the comparison, the most efficient tool was chosen and used for making a model of the bridge. The secondary aim was to collect the baseline data which is needed for bridge modelling (bridge, geo, environment and road). The client of the thesis was Finnish engineering company Finnmap Infra Oy.
The structure of the theoretical part of the study consists of a collected data which is needed for bridge modelling in different design phases and comparison of the two modelling tools. Needed information was found from different literary sources and national building standards. In the practical part of the thesis the bridge for the road project was designed.
As a result of the study initial data was provided, which can be used for the future needs of the company. The comparison was made and, according to the author, the more efficient tool for bridge modelling in TeklaStructure was chosen. Moreover, the model of the bridge was made, with all necessary reinforcement and drawings.
