Tiivistelmä
Vajaaravitsemuksen ehkäisy on tärkeää leikkauspotilaan toipumisen edistämisessä. Opinnäytetyössä on kerätty tietoa vajaaravitsemuksen ehkäisemisen hoitotyön menetelmistä. Opinnäytetyö toteutettiin projektina. Opinnäytetyön tarkoituksena oli tuottaa Oulun yliopistollisen sairaalan (OYS:n) digihoitopolkuun video vajaaravitsemuksen ehkäisystä gastroenterologista syöpää sairastavalle, leikkauksen läpikäyneelle potilaalle. Toimeksiantajan kanssa videon sisällöksi sovittiin yleispätevät ravitsemusohjeet, riippumatta siitä, minkä elimen gastroenterologisesta syövästä olisi kyse. Opinnäytetyön tavoitteena oli yhtenä hoitotyön menetelmänä tarjota videon avulla tietoa suositeltavasta ravitsemuksesta, vajaaravitsemuksen ehkäisemisen näkökulmasta, gastroenterologista syöpää sairastavalle leikkauspotilaalle.
Opinnäytetyön teoriaosuuden aineisto koottiin tieteellisistä artikkeleista, tietokirjoista, oppikirjoista, järjestöjen internetsivustoilta ja näyttöön perustuvilta internetsivustoilta. Aineiston pohjalta laadittiin ravitsemusohjauksesta käsikirjoitus ja video potilasohjausta varten. In general, it’s important to prevent malnutrition in order to enhance the patient’s recovery after surgery. In this thesis information was collected about methods which can be used for preventing malnutrition in post-operative cancer patients.
This thesis was implemented as a project. The goal of the thesis was to produce a video about the prevention of malnutrition in patients who have gastrointestinal cancer and who have undergone a surgery. The video produced in this thesis will be used as part of to the digital treatment path of the Oulu University hospital (OYS) – the commissioner of this thesis. The authors of this thesis and the commissioner agreed that the video should consist of universally applicable guidelines regarding nutrition of all patients with gastrointestinal cancer of any organ. The ultimate goal was to provide information about the recommendable nutrition for post-operative patients.
The theoretical references in this thesis included scientific articles, encyclopedias, textbooks, websites of associations, and websites with evidence based contents websites. Based on the theoretical data, a manuscript about nutritional guidance was written. Subsequently, based on the script a patient education video was made.
