Tämän vuoksi kyseisellä vialla on huomattava taloudellinen merkitys.
Työn aikana löydettiin kaksi tuotetta, joiden valmistukseen on jatkossa kiinnitettävä erityishuomiota jatkossa. The aim of this thesis was to study the formation mechanisms of undesirable bubbles during the windshield manufacturing process, and to propose measures to prevent them. One of the objectives was to find out in which part of the product a bubble was formed. Another objective was to investigate if the formation of a bubble could be tracked to a certain material or work stage. Bubbles are errors that are not detected until the end of the process, when costs other than those of the packaging process have already been generated. That is why this error has considerable economic significance.
The theoretical background of the thesis examines the structure, characteristics and purpose of a windshield. A Windshield consists of two bent, flat glass plates and one or more films. The theorical part explains the properties of these materials and the adhesion between them.
During the study, it became clear that every process step, except for the packaging, as well as the quality of the raw materials used, affects the formation of the bubble. The thesis presents each process step and the critical points for bubble formation. In addition, the thesis introduces preventive practices and remedial measures for bubble formation.
The most important corrective action that stood out from the findings was the quality of the water used in the cutting process. Other measures proposed to prevent bubble formation include paying attention to the overall cleanliness in compliance with the 5S operating principle, development of competence assurance, cautiousness in production, selection of raw materials and monitoring of the production parameters and conditions. During the thesis project, two products were found which will require special attention in the future.
