Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyöni on tehty yhteistyössä yksityisen varhaiskasvatuspalvelua tuottavan yrityksen kanssa. Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tuoda näkyväksi henkilöstön näkökulmaa ja kokemusta oppimisympäristön muutos-prosessin eri vaiheista. Tutkimuksen lähtökohdat ovat uudistuneissa varhaiskasvatussuunnitelman perusteissa 2016. Varhaiskasvatussuunnitelman muutoksen myötä yrityksessä koettiin tarpeelliseksi kehittää oppimisympäristöä tilaajattelun ja toimintaympäristön suuntaan, jotta varhais-kasvatussuunnitelman perusteiden tavoitteilla olisi paremmat edellytykset toteutua päiväkodin oppimisympäristössä. Tutkimus on kvalitatiivinen, eli laadullinen tutkimus, jonka aineisto kerättiin varhaiskasvatuksen henkilöstöltä tarinan muodossa. Tutkimusaineisto analysoitiin aineistolähtöisesti sisällönanalyysi metodia käyttäen. Tutkimus tehtiin yksityistä varhaiskasvatuspalvelua tuottavan yrityksen päiväkodissa, eteläsuomalaisessa pienessä kaupungissa. Tutkimukseen osallistui koko päiväkodin henkilöstö. Tutkimustulos on moninainen, johon vaikutti oppimisympäristön muutosprosessin eri vaiheet. Tutkimusprosessiin osallistuneilla työntekijöillä kokemukset ja tunteet, sekä muutoksen toteutuksessa tehdyt ratkaisut vaihtelivat myönteisistä kielteisiin prosessin eri vaiheissa. Tutkimustuloksista käy myös ilmi toimintakulttuurin kehittämisen tarpeet suhteessa uuteen toimintaympäristöön.
My thesis has been developed in partnership with a unit of a private early childhood education provider in a small town in southern Finland. All employees of the chosen unit participated. The purpose of this research is to document the different steps for creating a new learning environment from the perspective of our personnel’s perspective and experience. The starting point is the new early childhood education plan of 2016, which, when released, inspired our company to enhance our learning environment mode of thinking, as well as the operating environment, to guarantee that early childhood education plan acts were met. This research is qualitative as nature, meaning that all material was collected from the early childhood education provider’s personnel in the form of a story. The research material was analyzed in a data-driven approach using the content analysis method.
The research result is manifold and was affected by the different steps of the learning environment change process. The employees who participated in this research had experiences that varied from negative to positive in various steps of the process. The result also highlights the need to develop new processes for activity culture to meet the demanding requirements of the new operating environment.
