Tiivistelmä
Insinöörityö toteutettiin noin puolen vuoden kestoisena kehitysprojektina Raide-Jokeri-pikaraitiotieallianssille vuonna 2018.
This Bachelor’s Thesis was implemented as a development project for Jokeri Light Rail Alliance during approximately six months in 2018. The work took place at the consecutive development phase that preceded the implementation phase of the project.
The Alliance’s parties participated in the construction of the schedule and the mapping of tasks. The standardized task entity was defined in group-specific workshops. The tasks acted as inputs for the task management system. Schedule management processes were created to support the flow of information and timeliness of the system information when the introduction of the task management system took place.
The transparency of schedule management was improved by bringing all tasks regarding streets into the same environment, regardless of the party performing the task. The project implementation model, alliance, and the habit of cooperation between different parties contributed to the implementation of the development project.
Preparing for the introduction of a task management system enabled a new way of organizing and managing task entities as well as a concrete way to follow the progress of planning. The most significant outcomes of the Thesis are the standardized tasks that repeat street by street and coordinating points that enable the iterative process to be broken into clear entities.
This study explored a very current topic, as in the construction business, improving productivity and design control have been on the agenda in the past few years.
