Haastattelut tehtiin marras-joulukuussa 2018 Satakunnan alueella. Haastatteluissa selvitettiin osapuolten näkemyksiä muun muassa työelämäyhteistyöstä, palvelun tarpeesta, palveluun toivotuista toiminnoista ja lomakkeiden prototyypeistä. Näiden näkemysten perusteella kehitettiin prosessiehdotukset, joihin osalta haastateltavista pyydettiin lisäkommentteja varsinaisten service blueprint -suositusten pohjaksi.
Tutkimuksen perusteella päädyttiin esittämään toimintasuositukset palvelun toteuttamisesta vaiheittain, jotta palvelu saataisiin toimintaan kohtuullisessa aikataulussa. Palvelun toteuttaminen suositeltiin aloitettavaksi pilottivaiheella, josta kerättäviä kokemuksia käytettäisiin palvelun jatkokehittämiseen. Suositellut kehitysvaiheet kuvattiin service blueprinttien avulla. Lomakkeiden sisältöön liittyvät suositukset puolestaan esitettiin haastatteluissa käytettyjen prototyyppien pohjalta kehitettyinä uusina lomakeprototyyppeinä. The purpose of this thesis was to gather information that could be utilized in developing Slice Wanted, a service for entering postings online regarding jobs, traineeships and topics for theses among other things. The methods for developing the service were found in the field of service design. The objective was to produce recommendations for how the service process could flow. This was done based on the opinions of the parties connected to the service. In addition, the aim was to produce suggestions for the contents of the forms used in the service and the necessary instructions. Suggestions were also sought for the standing of contract work agencies in the service. The client of the thesis was Slice.fi.
The theory review of this thesis examined the definition of services and outlined examples of the processes and methods of service design. Furthermore, collaboration between educational institutions, businesses or other organizations, and students was discussed from the viewpoint of each of these parties as it was relevant for the context and subject matter of this thesis.
The thesis was implemented by using qualitative methods which included collecting the materials by means of semi-structured interviews. In all, 13 people representing educational institutions, businesses and other organizations and students in the area were interviewed. The interviews were conducted during November and December of 2018 in the Satakunta region. The interviews traced the relevant parties’ opinions concerning, among other things, collaboration between working life and the educational sector, demand for this type of service, various functions requested for the service, and prototypes of the forms. Based on these viewpoints, process suggestions were developed. Some of the interviewees were asked to comment on the suggestions so that the comments could be used as a basis for the final recommendations presented in the form of service blueprints.
Based on this research, it was decided to propose a phased implementation plan for the service, in order to bring it in to operation within a reasonable schedule. It was recommended to start implementing the service with a pilot phase. During the pilot phase, follow-up information would be gathered to be used as a basis for further developing the service. The recommended phases were pictured as service blueprints. As for the suggestions concerning the contents of the forms, they were depicted as new form prototypes that were developed utilizing the viewpoints of the interviewees regarding the original prototypes.
