Åtta artiklar in-kluderades i studiens resultat. The purpose of this study was to gather experiences from families where one of the children received a cancer diagnosis. Based on this, an increased understanding of feelings, needs and approaches during the disease period can be achieved. This study participates in the project Lek, Le and Trivs, which is a project in collaboration with Project life. The project focuses on making everyday life better for longtermill children. With this study, more children and families can have a better experience of the period during the disease. The previous research shows that the whole family is affected and has difficulty balancing the everyday life. The parents feel that they are not enough, and the siblings feel put aside. This study is a qualitative systematic literature study where the material was analyzed using the content analysis method. Eight articles were included in the result of the study. The articles have been systematically searched through searches from four different databases and combinations of keywords such as childhood cancer, siblings, family, experience, etc. have been used. The theoretical framework used in the study is the family-centered care theory that takes into account all the family members needs and make sure they are met as well as possible. The results showed that the experiences of families where a child had cancer was very similar. The parents felt stressed and worried and had difficulty getting the daily life together. The siblings turned out to be the forgotten group. They lacked information about the condition of the sick sibling and wanted a better communication. They wanted to be more included in the care.
