Tiivistelmä
Detta examensarbete är en kvantitativ studie med syftet att undersöka vilka faktorer i ledarskapet påverkar anställdas psykiska välmående inom restaurangbranschen i Finland. Bisyftet är att få reda på hur anställda i restaurangbranschen i Finland mår.
Undersökningen baserar sig på en enkätundersökning utförd bland slumpmässigt valda restaurangarbetare från hela Finland.
Teorierna som undersökningen baserar sig på är Maslows behovstrappa, Herzbergs tvåfaktorteori, Adairs 50/50 regel och åttafaktorteori. Organisationskulturen i branschen, relevanta delar av arbetslagstiftningen och kollektivavtalet behandlas också för arbetet.
Resultatet från studien visar vilka samband det finns i ledarskap bland individer som anser att de mår psykiskt bra på arbetsplatsen samt bland dem som anser att de mår dåligt. This degree thesis is a quantitative study with the purpose to examine which different factors regarding leadership affects the employee's psychological well being within the restaurant industry in Finland. The second purpose is to find out how the employees in the restaurant business in Finland really feel.
The study is based on a poll carried out among randomly selected restaurant workers from Finland.
The theories that the study is based on are Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, Herzberg’s two factor theory and Adair’s 50/50 rule and eight factor theory. The organisational culture, the essential parts of the labour legislation and collective labour agreement are also discussed in the study.
The result of the study shows which correlations there are in leadership among individuals who consider their psychological health as good on their working place as well as among those who consider it to be bad.
