Studien ingick i Arcadas GROW projekt. Abortion is an ethical dilemma; it affects you, the whole community, and nurses in abor-tioncare and people in the whole world. Your attitude to abortion often depends on the motive the woman has for her decision. This study was a systematic literature view. Con-tent analysis has been used in the study. The theme in the study was abortionethics. The aim for this study was to increase the understatement for abortion questions, what kind of positions are there, can you as a nurse refuse abortioncare, is there a need for a better support for healthcare professionals and to understand the women’s experience. The two research questions in this study were: What are the most appearance ethical dilemmas about abortion? What kind of support does healthcare workers need in abortioncare? This study excluded the medical part of abortion. The results of 15 scientific articles showed that motive like rape, or the women’s life is in danger and abnormal fetuses are the argu-ments most accepted. But motives like genderselection and abnormalities like palate and cleft gap does not get the same acceptance. Healthcare professionals in abortioncare be-come exposed to stress, therefore different kind of copingstrategies, a good self-confidence and professional support is important. The study was a part of Arcada GROW project.
