This thesis is a part of the project ”Det resilienta barnet”. The purpose is to highlight risk factors and protective factors in relation to norm-breaking behavior among children in daycare. Furthermore the purpose is to make professionals aware of prevention and early intervention in relation to normbreaking behavior among children in daycare. A strenght perspective is applied throughout the thesis.
To achive the purpose a qualitative literature study and content analysis has been done. The theory in the thesis focuses on risk focused prevention and protective factors in children and in the environment. More on prevention and intervention from a professional perspective is discussed.
The result of the literature study shows that professionals needs to be aware of risk factors and protective factors to norm-breaking behavior among children in daycare, in order to be able to apply preventive work and interventions. The result also shows that how the child is responded to by professionals and what child perspective the professional have, affects the outcome of the preventive work and interventions. A poster series shows the result and can be used as a base for further discussions at further trainings or at special theme days.
