The aim of this thesis was to design and implement a music festival to the public. As re-sponsibilities, I took care of the pop up bar that was built up in the festival area. In event planning, there are several things to take into consideration and therefore I have first researched different theories which I have built into a cohesive "manual" that will help me in the planning, the so-called planning phase. The principal in this work was “Com-pany X” but in collaboration with “Company X1”. The implementation phase of this pro-ject was the festival itself, but most of the work was done in the planning, because a well-done planning is already half of the work itself. This work has been carried out in the form of a project and during the event itself I was in the role of the bar manager but did objective research at the same time. In the evaluation I have used own observations as well as feedback from customers, the principal and staff. Financially the whole event didn’t gain profit, but the pop-up bar was a success. A conclusion is that the process of event planning is always equal regardless of what kind of event is at issue, so the knowledge I gained during the planning can be applied in the future.
