Martois-Niemelä och Sippus (2011) wrote earlier their bachelor´s thesis within nursing; "Nursing documentation – A qualitative study", which dealt with nursing documentation primarily out of the clinical nurses context. The respondent that now studies healthcare, wants with this development work now proceed with the healthcare nurses context, about nursing documentation. The purpose of this development work is to find out by help of a questionnaire survey, how a group of healthcare nurses apprehend nursing documentation in the childrens healtcare and how these describe restraining and furtherance factors that affect a good nursing documentation. Accordingly the respondent wants to bring about a continuation of the earlier bachelor´s thesis. The teoretical background of this study is quality assurance and quality.
Every questionnaire has been gone through and anlysed by help of Graneheim and Lundman (2004) content analysis. The results have been chosen to be divided up into themes and categories. Themes that emerged from the results were experiences concerning the documentation of nursing contact and proceedings, restraining and furtherance factors and development of the documentation for childrens healthcare. Within these themes are categories being presented. The study has then been construed to the teoretical background and to some extent also the earlier bachelor´s thesis.
