Tiivistelmä
Opinnäytetyö kuuluu KOULII-hankkeeseen. KOULII-hanke on Koulutuksen Innovaatio & Integraatio -hanke, jonka toiminta sijoittuu aikavälille 1.8.2010 - 31.12.2012.
Aineisto on analysoitu teemoittelun avulla. Opinnäytetyöni teoreettinen viitekehys tarkastelee lapsiperheiden arkeen kuuluvia osa-alueita.
The thesis belongs to KOULII project. KOULII project is an education, innovation and integration project which began on the 1st of August and will continue until the 31st of December 2012. The project is carried out in cooperation with the educational group Omnia in Espoo and Laurea University of Applied Sciences. The project will help to develop the cooperation of the two learning institutions. The service innovation target is Suurpelto area in Espoo, and the aim is to achieve ecology and combining family life and free time.
The purpose of the thesis is to interview the Espoo Suurpelto area’s resident families and thereby gain knowledge the everyday life of families with children. In the thesis a family is defined as one adult and one pre-school child living together. The goal of the thesis was to study the everyday lives of the families, the combination of work and free time, the sense of community and everyday needs for services. On the basis of the interview information networks and services might be innovated and created in Suurpelto area for families with children.
The research method is qualitative. Theme interview was used as a method of data collection. One of the data collection methods was also service design. The material is analyzed by categorizing it to themes. The theoretical framework of the thesis will examine areas of daily life for families with children.
The findings show that the daily lives of the families consist of schedules and daily routines. Work forms a major part of the daily life. The interviewees think work and family life can be coordinated.
The residents hope for lot of different services to the area. At the moment these do not exist because of the newness of the region. Mostly the interviewees hoped for basic services and resident park-type of playground facilities for children. In addition to the built-in services people in the area are interested in influencing the services on their own. On the other hand, cooperation, the sense of community and voluntary work also cause hesitation, because they require mutual trust and the same values. In voluntary work people give time from their family time so it is necessary to be something that satisfies their own everyday life.
