This thesis is an order from Närpes heatlh center´s physiotherapy department. The purpose of the thesis was to design an informative brochure for postpartum women to Närpes health center´s physiotherapy department. The brochure will be handed out at the first postpartum visit at the antenatal clinic. It will serve as an aid in the physiotherapeutic guidance of recently become mothers. The brochure is also an aid for reaching out to recently become mothers who don´t visit the physiotherapy department postpartum. It shall motivate the recently become mother to physical activity. A systematic review of literature was used to answer two questions of research. 16 research articles were included. The quality examination is based on Forsberg & Wengström (2003). The brochure is based on the result of the review and the exercises are shaped to be done with the baby. The result of the review shows that training is good for the recently become mother´s mental and physical wellbeing. It improves the physical condition, muscular strength and strengthens the skeleton. Postpartum training serves for a healthy, lifelong training habit, prevents overweight, incontinence and improves trunk stability.
