Abstract
Jotta hehkulamput voidaan korvata LED-lampuilla, on ensin kuitenkin varmistuttava niiden ominaisuuksien, erityisesti niiden tuottaman valon suhteellisen spektrin ja valovirran stabiilisuuden sopivuudesta fotometrisiin standardimittauksiin.

This work studies the temperature control of LED-based standard lamps, which could be used in the future in photometric measurements. Currently used incandescent standard lamps are getting rare and at the same time, more expensive alternatives for calibration usage. In order to replace incandescent lamps with LED-lamps, their features have to be confirmed, especially their light’s relative spectrum, luminous flux’s stability and suitability for photometric standard measurements. In this work it has been studied room temperature variation’s effects on LED lamp’s functioning and built a prototype for temperature controller of standard lamps which compensates variations in room temperature while keeping the LED’s luminous flux constant. Change in temperature of the LED lamp has an effect on its radiation’s spectrum and luminous flux. Variation in room temperature can be even ± 3 ºC during one long term measurement, or two different laboratories can be set to different temperatures. To prevent this variation, a prototype was built, which controls LED’s temperature by three different ways; heating, cooling and combination of these two. Best results were obtained with combination of heating and cooling. The prototype managed to keep the temperature within 0,5 ºC from the set temperature.
