Tiivistelmä
Tämän työn tarkoituksena on tutkia aikaohjauksen kannattavuutta maalämpöpumpun käytössä rakennuksen ja käyttöveden lämmittämisessä. Rakennuksen lämmittämisessä on vertailtu pelkästään yösähkön aikana lämmittämistä ja kolmessa erässä lämmittämistä: kerran yösähkön aikana ja kaksi kertaa päiväsähkön aikana. Saaduilla tuloksilla on selvitetty kannattaisiko Juha Vahvasen opinnäytetyössä (2019) esitettyä omakotitaloa lämmittää aikaohjauksella toteutuneiden Elspot hintojen perusteella, kolmella eri kokoisella varaajalla.
Tulokset vaikuttavat lupaavilta, sillä lämpötilan nousu on huomattava. Kuitenkin ilman laskentaa oikeassa varaajassa tapahtuvista lämpöhäviöistä, ei tämän tutkimuksen valossa voi sanoa onko pelkästään yöllä lämmittäminen kannattavaa. The purpose of this work is to study the profitability of using time control with ground source heat pumps for heating buildings or hot water. For heating buildings two control methods were studied: producing all heat energy needed with night electricity and producing one third of needed heat energy with night electricity and two thirds with day electricity, with three differently sized storages. With the latter method equal amounts of heat energy were produced with every heating cycle. Then the profitability of using time control was calculated, based on a building presented in the study done by Juha Vahvanen (2019). Elspot prices in 2019 are used for electricity costs. Profitability of heating hot water was studied by calculating how much hotter the water could be heated by using night electricity instead of day electricity.
Time control with building heating shows potential but the profitability depends on the heat capacity of the thermal storage used and the amount of needed heat energy. With the building used, time control was profitable with all three tested concrete thermal storages with the average heating required. However, during peak heating requirement time control wasn’t worthwhile with any of them. Temperature of the thermal storage also needs to be considered for user’s comfort, when using floor heating. The temperature can be lowered with a bigger storage. With a big enough storage, time control is worthwhile at least most of the year, but this study hasn’t accounted thermal transfers that happen inside the thermal storage, or heat transfer rate to the building, which affects the buildings internal temperature. The effect of these on the profitability of time control needs to be studied further.
When heating hot water, the profitability of time control was studied with two different water temperatures. With the average night- and daytime price difference in Finnish Elspot market, you can heat the water about 12 % hotter during nighttime than during daytime with the supply temperatures used in the calculations. When calculating profitability of nighttime heating, heat losses that occur during daytime need to be considered and compensated for by heating the water hotter. In the study, it was found that with a 200 liter hot water storage and with a minimum water temperature of 55 ℃, it would be more profitable to only heat at night, if temperature change caused by heat loss is less than 6.4 ℃. The results seem promising since the temperature rise is quite substantial. Still, without calculating the heat losses that occur in a real hot water storage, we can’t say for sure whether only heating hot water during nighttime is worthwhile.
