Tiivistelmä
Diplomityön tavoitteena tutkittiin erilaisia funktionaalisten pintojen ominaisuuksia ja sovelluskohteita ja suunnitella kartongin pinnanmuokkauksen mekaanisesti suorittava laite, joka pystyy tuottamaan funktionaalisia pintoja kartongille. Työ jakaantuu kahteen osaan: Funktionaalisten pintojen tutkimiseen kirjallisuuskatsauksena ja pinnanmuokkauslaitteen suunnitteluun.
Laite suunniteltiin systemaattista koneensuunnittelun metodia käyttäen, jossa ensin laitteelle laadittiin vaatimuslista, jonka jälkeen laitteelle tehtiin toimintorakenne ja osakohtainen suunnittelu. Suunnittelun apuna käytettiin epälineaarista elementtimenetelmää selvittämään rakenteen taipumia, pinnanmuokkauksessa vaadittua pintapainetta ja sen synnyttämiseen tarvittavaa voimaa. Laitteen 3d- mallinnus ja suunnittelu tapahtuivat Solidworks-ohjelmalla.
Työn tuloksena suunniteltiin laite, joka kykenee tuottamaan sopivan suuruisen pintapaineen kartongille halutulla tuotantonopeudella. Halutunlainen funktionaalinen pintakuvio siirtyy kartongille riittävän suuren pintapaineen ja lämmön ansiosta. Kuvion painaminen kartongille toteutetaan useiden telojen avulla, telalta telalle menetelmällä. Jatkotutkimusaiheiksi työstä jää täsmällisen pintapaineen ja lämpötilan löytäminen telalta telalle suoritettavassa kartongin pinnanmuokkauksessa.
The aim of this thesis were to research the properties and applications of different functional surfaces and to design a mechanical surface-modeling machine that is capable of producing functional surfaces for cardboard. The work is divided into two parts: the study of functional surfaces as a literature review and the design of a surface modeling device.
The device was designed using a systematic machine design method, where a requirement list was first created for the device, after which a machine functional structure and part-designs were made. The nonlinear element method was used to design the bending of the structure, the surface pressure required for surface conversion and the force required to produce it. The 3D modeling and design of the device was done with Solidworks.
As a result of the work, plans for the device was designed that was able to produce a suitable surface pressure on the board at the desired production speed. The desired functional surface texture is transferred to the board due to the high surface pressure and heat. Printing the pattern on the board is accomplished by means of a number of rollers, in the roll-to-roll method. For further research on the subject there is to find the exact surface pressure and temperature for the roll-to-roll micropatterning
