Tiivistelmä
Diplomityön tavoitteena on tutkia prosessivaihteluiden vaikutuksia pienen kokoluokan kattiloissa. Tutkitut prosessivaihtelut liittyvät polttoaineen syöttöön, hiekkapedin paine-eroon ja palamisilmansäädön mittaustarkkuuteen. Mainittuja prosessivaihteluita tutkitaan Savonia-ammattikorkeakoulun energiatutkimuskeskuksen tutkimuskuplapetikattilassa. Diplomityön tutkimuskohteen käsittely aloitetaan lyhyellä katsauksella leijupolttotekniikan historiasta ja teoriasta. Teoriaosuudessa käsitellään kahden eri leijupetitekniikkaan perustuvan kattilan toimintaperiaatteet. Diplomityön teoriaosaa jatketaan käsittelemällä palamisen teoriaa, polttoaineiden ominaisuuksia ja palamisessa muodostuvia päästöjä. Työssä käsitelty tutkimuskuplapetikattila ei kerennyt valmistua diplomityön puitteissa riittävälle tasolle tarkempien palamiskokeiden toteuttamista varten. Diplomityön aikana tutkimuskuplapetikattilalle toteutettiin ylös- ja alasajojen teoreettinen suunnittelu. Teoreettisia suunnitelmia testattiin käytännössä diplomityön loppupuolella toteutetuissa lämmitys- ja leijutuskokeissa. Tehtyjen koeajojen perusteella teoreettisia suunnitelmia muokattiin parhaiden mahdollisten ylös- ja alasajosuunnitelmien luomiseksi. Prosessivaihteluiden tutkiminen perustuu koelaitteistolla tehtyihin koeajoihin. The goal of this thesis is to study process variations in small-scale boilers. Process variations considered in this thesis are related to fuel feeding, fluidized bed pressure difference and adjustment of combustion air. Mentioned process variations are studied in Savonia University of Applied Sciences’ Energy Research Center’s bubbling fluidized bed boiler. Investigation of the subject of this thesis begins with a brief overview of the history and theory of fluidized bed technology. The theoretical part represents the operating principles of two fluidized bed boilers types. The theoretical part of this thesis is continued by researching the theory of combustion, fuel properties and emissions related to combustion. The research boiler used for measurements in this thesis did not complete construction to a sufficient level for more accurate combustion tests within the time scope of thesis. During the thesis work, theoretical design of startup and shutdown plans were carried out on the research boiler. Theoretical plans were tested in heating and fluidizing experiments towards the end of the thesis work. Based on the test runs, the theoretical plans were modified to create better suitable startup and shutdown plans. Examination of process variations are based on heating and fluidizing experiments.
