Tiivistelmä
Nykyään yhä useammassa tuotekehitysprosessissa on otettu dynaaminen virtuaaliprototyyppi käyttöön. Dynaaminen virtuaaliprototyyppi mahdollistaa eri osastojen suunnittelijoiden nähdä ja tutkia oman työn vaikutusta koko järjestelmään.
Tämän työn tavoite oli mallintaa Rauten viilusorvista virtuaaliprototyyppi käyttäen monikappaledynamiikka (Multi-body system, MBS) menetelmää. Malli luodaan Mevean Modeller -ohjelman avulla ja mallia voidaan ajaa Mevean Solver -ohjelmassa reaaliaikaisena simulaationa. Mallin luomiseen tarvittavat tiedot, Ohjelmisto mahdollistaa myös anturi-, voimansiirto-, hydrauliikka- ja sähkökomponenttien lisäämisen MBS-malliin.
Vaneri tuotantolinjaston tärkein vaihe on vaneriviilun sorvaaminen. Tulevassa uuden sukupolven viilusorvissa suurin osa hydrauliikkasylintereistä on korvattu lineaarisilla karamoottoreilla. Karamoottoreita ohjataan moottorin sulautetulla ohjausjärjestelmällä, jonka avulla moottoria voidaan ohjata aseman, nopeuden ja väännön mukaan. Tämän takia, työn toinen tavoite oli muodostaa moottoriohjausjärjestelmä, joka jäljittelee moottoreiden sulautetun järjestelmän toimintaa.
Jotta saataisiin virtuaalisesta prototyypistä mahdollisimman realistinen, luotiin viilusorvauksesta erillinen prosessimalli. Prosessimallin tehtävä on simuloida viilun sorvaamista puusta ja kuinka sorvausprosessi vaikuttaa sorvausmekanismiin. Sorvausprosessimalli luodaan toisena projektina tässä hankkeessa, jolle luodaan rajapinta malliin.
Lopputuloksena valmistui viilusorvista MBS-malli virtuaaliprototyyppiä varten. Malli sisältää suuren määrän kappaleita (34), mikä vaati paljon laskentatehoa, jotta malli pysyisi reaaliajassa. Jotta mallia pystyi ohjamaan Rauten ohjausjärjestelmällä, luotiin ohjausjärjestelmän ja mallin välille moottoriohjausjärjestelmä. Järjestelmä mahdollistaa mallin moottoreiden ohjaamisen samalla tavalla kuin fyysisessä koneessa. Virtuaaliprototyypin avulla tuotekehityksessä pystytään vertailemaan erilaisia moottorivaihtoehtoja ja testaamaan uusia ohjausjärjestelmiä. These days dynamic virtual prototypes becoming a useful tool in the product development process. When a dynamic virtual prototype is put in practice, it enables the possibility for designers from different development sections to test and monitor the result of their own work as well as track the impact on the entire system.
The main aim of this thesis is to build a dynamic virtual prototype based on a Raute peeling machine using a multibody system (MBS) approach. To build the MBS model Mevea Modeller software is utilized and it can be simulated in real-time in Mevea Solver software. This software already contains all the components required to build the model, but it also allows to add sensors, power transmission, hydraulics systems and electric engines as a part of the MBS model.
The core part of the veneer production line is a veneer peeling lathe. It is the new generation veneer peeling lathe, where most of the hydraulic cylinders are replaced with electrical linear actuators. Actuators have embedded control system, which is used to regulate their position, speed or torque. Therefore, another goal of this work is to simulate the actuators embedded control system to interact with the Raute control system.
Additionally, to create an elaborate dynamic virtual prototype an MBS model was complimented with an interface for the wood peeling process model. The purpose of it is to simulate the actual process of the veneer peeling and its impact on the machine mechanism. The peeling process model is developed as another part of this project.
As a result, an MBS model was built for a dynamic virtual prototype of a peeling machine. This model includes a large amount of bodies (34) and that results in a higher demand of the processing power to perform a real-time simulation. To connect Raute control system with the MBS model, a motor control system was developed to replicate the operation of the actuators embedded control system. By utilizing this dynamic virtual prototype, it was possible to test compatibility of different electric linear actuators as well as the test new control system.
