Tiivistelmä
Akselilaskin on tärkeä komponentti raideosuuden tilan valvonnassa. Työ on tehty akselilaskentasovitinta valmistavalle Mipro Oy:lle.
Sovittimen laskennallinen elinikä kasvoi FMEDA analyysin perusteella 24 vuodesta 74,2 vuoteen. Kenttätestiä suoritettiin neljän viikon ajan, jolloin sovitin laski 31500 akselia, eikä ongelmia havaittu. Axlecounting is an important part to determine the state of track section. Signaling control system uses axlecounting to reserve pathway for a train in order to avoid collisions or rear-end collisions. Due to the risk of accidents the device must operate safely even in the event of a malfunction. This thesis has been done for Mipro Oy that manufactures axle counting systems.
In the first part of this work, accidents that contributed most to development of automated traffic control systems were examined. After this, the current adapter design is introduced, and a plan for new adapter design is made. In the latter part of this work necessary laboratory- and field tests were carried out for new adapter. Conclusions of adapter’s functionality and usefulness are made by the results of these tests.
The aim of this master’s thesis was to update the existing axlecounting converter’s design so that it has better manufacturability. In addition, we revised the state of converter’s components lifecycle and necessary modifications were made in order to extend converter’s lifecycle. The operation of converter was verified by laboratory and field measurements. Updated converter operated as expected, and its lifecycle, as well as service life, was extended. On the basis of failure modes, effect, and diagnostic analysis converter’s calculated service life increased from 24 years to 74.2 years. Field tests were conducted over period of four weeks, in which time the converter counted 31500 axles without any errors.
