Tiivistelmä
Tässä kandidaatintyössä käydään läpi yleisesti lisäaineen kulkeutuminen kelalta hitsauskohteeseen. Lähestymistapana on käytetty tutkimuksessa tapaa, jossa käydään hitsauslaitteiston osat osa kerrallaan läpi ja kirjataan lähteissä mainitut vaikuttavat asiat ylös. Työssä on otettu huomioon kirjallisuudesta löytyvät matemaattiset yhtälöt kuvaamaan prosessia syöttölaitteiston osissa.
Työssä huomioidaan täytelanka vain yhtenä osatekijänä. Muuten työtä voidaan myös soveltaa muille lisäainelanka tyypeille, kuten umpilangalle.
Vaikuttavin asia lisäaineen syötössä on kosketuksesta johtuva vastustus.
This Bachelor’s thesis goes through the process of additive material from the reel to welding target in MIG/MAG welding process. As the approach method is used a way which goes through the welding equipment part by part and affecting things is written in the research. In the research is taken into account as well mathematic equations to describe the feeding of additive wire in the parts of welding process.
In the research the filler wire is only considered as a single component. Otherwise, the research can be used as well for the solid wires.
The most affecting thing in the feeding of additive wire in the process is the resistance of contact. This is a major thing because if there occurs plastic deformation in the additive wire or some other irregularity in the surface of wire it may lead to nonstable arc in the welding process. Plastic deformation may come from feeding rolls compression force, knurled geometry of feeding rolls or the additive material has suffered before its connection to welding system.
The filler wire includes metal surface and the filler material. These two compounds lead to that the filler wire can form plastic deformation easier than solid wires which are used in the welding of same material because the filler is in powder form inside of the filler wire and it is a bit softer material than the solid material.
